my new Character, specifically i needed another male character in my headcanon and also really wanted to make a feline anthro character whose origins werent from a TF

but of course, he's gonna wind up in some TF shenanigans at some point!

James Keating, Anthropomorphic Maine Coon Cat, Age: 25, Male, straight.
Setting: Same physical setting as Kiku and her host John, like normal world but with Anthros and magical happenings and spirits and such going on, possibly ties in with the other version of John (werewolf) and Shelly's world too.
Occupations (official): Professional Landscape Photographer, Professional Rock-Climber/Trainer
Occupations (unofficial): Spiritual Exorcist/Demon Hunter for-hire

Bio: James was born as a natural Maine Coon Anthro, he only knows that he was orphaned at a young age, and was raised by a human family of exorcists who sensed his natural talents and magical abilities and rose him as part of their family and order (not fanatical or cruel upbringing either, loving adoptive family who brought out his abilities to their fullest and who raised him with love). Surpassing even the order’s grand master in terms of ability before setting off on his own, James realized early on that there wasn’t much overt need for an exorcist in today’s day and age. and as such, he started his own business. He’s a professional photographer of minor repute, photos published here and there, and an expert climber, (cat anthros are good at climbing lol!) so he travels the country and world teaching people how to climb safely while taking beautiful photographs with film cameras for magazines and private sale.

It’s also perfect cover for his other job, gives him plenty of reasons for travel to hunt down spirits and hauntings and such and force em to pass on, which he does for profit. Mostly deals with realtors who need to de-haunt-ify some old house for sale, that or local shamans, priests, psychics, etc. who have similar problems with their customers and are in over their heads. he knows enough magic to oust or exorcise most spirits, but sometimes gets overwhelmed when the spirit or demon in question is too powerful for him, and ends up needing help.
