The glorious curse of being a Wytch is twisting the natural fabric of the Weave, rending your natural elemental alignment and severing your trinity for your devotion to power. Letting otherworldly beings ravage your purity of mind, body and/or spirit so that you may wield strengths that mere mortals could never possess. Here we see an image of Ryka later in the series, during the Era of Scar Eden. Her mate, Ix (Carrion of IX Spokes) who have seen all the horrors that Hell has had to offer, now must survive the wastes of Eden Forsaken and prevent the war's end at all cost.
