Biology: Koata is bi-gender. Through some residual magic in his bloodline, he can transform himself to a limited extent. He has two forms, and each form can present as either gender, depending on how he feels. He typically presents as a male, and thus normally goes by male pronouns, though sometimes he will present as a female, mostly for fun or sexual shenanigans. He has a humanoid form, in which he keeps his ears and a tail. He also has an anthropomorphic feline form, in which he presents as a humanoid feline. When presenting as female, his coat acquires a reddish hue. Not even Koata can control this part of the transformation, nor can he explain it. Itis suspected that his female form's DNA carries a latent gene somehow activated by the changes made from male to female DNA pattern.
Ataiya appears to be genderless, but goes by male pronouns for sake of simplicity. It is unclear whether Ataiya's eyes actually function or if he just feels everything through their shared senses. 

Relationship (Tail & Body): Ataiya and Koata are very close, and often find themselves interacting with each other sexually. They do not appear to find anything unusual about this, and when questioned about it merely shrug it off.
