In the final days of WWII a single group of soldiers was tasked with infiltrating a Nazi compound what they found was an attempt to open a portal to another world, the soldiers were successful in closing the portal but they lost many men, one of which was Thomas Anderson.

At a later date the survivors of the unit were sent into a village that had recently been deserted after German troops, upon entering the town they found themselves confronted by zombies. After fighting their way to the center they finally encountered familiar troops, after fierce fighting they cornered the leader in a room, when he refused to come out they came in, what they saw could scarcely be described. A large black wolf like man creature had the man's throat in its jaws, its fangs dug in as the man was drained dry. Releasing the soldier it looked to the allied troops and started to turn, one of the members who had survived the original debacle swore he saw something familiar in those eyes....
