THis is for my sonic dating game I've been working on. Stupid Deviantart took it down, cause they're arse holes. Idiots. Anyway, I DREW ROGUE I didn't TRACE HER. And deviantart says I need "PERMISSION" from Sega to draw sonic characters? BS. Then why have a fanart section?
Anyway, Aha did a really good job of coloring this.

Well, maybe they shouldn't have a 'FAN ART' section. Nor did I mention that any sonic characters were mine. I credit them in my game it was on the freaking front page of it. DA is just buttholes who can abuse their admistrating powers. "FAN ART" is the keyword.
I don't claim any character to be mine. Even when someone credits it to SEGA it's still taken down,e specially when you draw so close to SA style it's shot down to the fecking ground. For what reason? We never know cause DA sends a automated little list of possible reasons of saying why it was removed which doesn't explain crap.

You're being quite silly and obviously do not understand the copyright laws for bigger companies.
The "fan art" section is for fan art that isn't copyrighted by big companies, like if I drew something for a friend, and you can also put anime in there because the japanese don't give a shit about copyrights.
Fact is a big company copyright or TM dosn't matter if you credit it or not. It contributes to the problem if you don't but it really dosn't matter one way or the other. Copyrights from a company like Sega or Disney specifically say that in order to puplicly host or show an image that has character/s or events belonging to them under copyright (say rouge here from disney) you must have written permission. I know, I have dealed with the big companies before, and I am studing in law. DA is not abuseing power at all, it is protecting itself.
I doupt you will listen to my reason, your reply to my first answear came back semi-imaturely, but all I am saying is that DA has a reason for doing what it does, and FA is stupid not to follow such. If any of the big companies found out, like Disney because disney porn flurishes here, this website would be shut down within a day.

Imaturely? You didn't even give so much at a nice comment or any type of critism, you're just going on about copyright laws and etc. Let's see more than oh, more than half of the DA and possibly FA commmunity is nothing but "fan art".
Well, either way whether you like my art or not or "copyrighted" characters I don't care. I'll draw it as much as the other thousands of people do. If you hate it, fine. That's your deal then.

If you wanted critisism that I can give. These look exactly like the cartoon, same big eyes and bad anatomy, but crit is that I think you should get your own style and not steal someone else's.
I said nothing about you selling anything. If you did sell something like this and a bif company fouond out you'd be in a world if trouble. It is very true that companies likes sega and disney don't really have the time or care to browse the internet looking for stolen shit, but it does happen that they find out the the site hosting them gets in alot of trouble. It happened with VCL a long time ago, and they now have strict policies too because of it.
Fact is all I'm saying is that DA is protecting itself and FA is just to dumb to do so.

No duh. And I do have my own style and I didn't 'steal' thank you very much. All it was is for a fan made game, god knows how many other people can easily do the sonic style and etc. This is the close I come to. How many other cartoons have any bad anatomy with big heads and odd shaped anatomy. It's not like some shows haven't mimiced any anime like style, like totally spies or teen titans(even though teen titans wasn't orginally from japan anyway. But an over use of Japanese expressions.)
And the whoel fan art thing under the DA description for example: Drawings of the Powerpuff girls go into the Fanart section. Same probably goes for other different art hosting site's.
DA is hardly protecting itself, unless the you draw exactly or close to the style is the only time they step in for it. Oh right like SEGA has the time to answer to a e-mail, "Do you mind if I draw your characters, I don't want to violate any copyrighted laws or anything like that."
FA is not dumb, honestly DA can delete things that don't even violate any rule for that reason. Mines can't be as worst as seeing someone exactly copy a picture and claim it as there's without giving credit, which I see ALOT of and most people think nothing of it.
And if you don't like the badly drawn cartoon, then you don't have to comment from something you seen over and over again then. It was for a game, end of story. Animated, etc. Even I know not to sell copyrighted characters, but people do it anyhow and I don't think the companies have time to sue over more than thousands and thousands of people that drew some fan art of their characters and sold it in a comission.
Just liek someone drawing fanart of your character and selling it.

Woah, someone's blowing up over something very small, it's quite amuseing really.
All I'm saying is that DA is protecting itself, the end. I already said that big companies just don't have the time to go around and care about who did what with art, but if they happen to find out things can happen, and DA is a huge art website that many people are very fond of, and actually rely on to sell commissions and prints.
You are trying to turn this silly little situation into something I am trying to pin on you, like selling the art. I have mentioned selling the art can get one in trouble, but I have said nothing of the sort about you selling it. Maybe you should read a little more carefully.
Furries do nothing short of amuse me.
