Last summer I was sitting by the door smelling the breeze after an afternoon summer storm when out from under the porch came one of the most stunning spiders I’ve ever seen. The abdomen looked like a rare polished stone embedded with gold… it didn’t even look real. Lucky I was able to take some photos while it was drying off! I think I have a vague idea of the kind of spider it is, but not enough to learn a bunch about it and find more of its kind. If anyone knows what spider this is (as in its scientific name), I’d really appreciate it!

Whoooaaaa, this has got to be the most beautiful spider I have ever seen! I wish I knew what it was, but I have no clue. Maybe you can research what spiders are common in your area...? The photo is so crisp, and it captures the escence of the spider very well in my opinion. The water droplets are definately a plus! 8D
Beautiful!
Wonderfully sharp! Great composition! And a beautiful spider!
Looks like Steatoda triangulosa, one of the cobweb weavers from Family Theridiidae.
I found one a couple years back, but my photo isn't quite as beautiful as yours: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/688390/
