For our final piece in Children’s Book Illustration we were to make a full dummy book and at least one final piece for the book. Well, I wanted to do something with folklore, so I found a few lesser known stories from around the world. I combined them into a book about a relaxed traveler who tries to teach lesson through storytelling to a super stressed modern worker.

This character is Vecherina’s buddy in this story “From Where the Northern Lights Come”. Unfortunatly the site that had the legend does not seem to exist anymore… so if anyone knows of a place that still has the story, please let me know!
