Well... I actually don't know about what people call "open species" but I can say,
I don't mind someone making windea characters and add the features the person likes.
For example, in my world (for the story of my characteres), there are no windea who fight with a magic. However, you can create windea magician,
windea ninjya, or so on, anything you like.
