New or reclaimed from industry materials: Stag charm

Secondhand/recycled/nature-found materials: Handmade paper, burlap, acrylic paint, sticks, lichens, yarn

I enjoy pushing myself out of my usual hide and bone art into other media now and then, and this is one of my most recent examples thereof! I started with a piece of paper that I made by hand from reclaimed cardboard, completely repulping and laying it out. I then added a piece of burlap which I painted with earthtones to suggest a hillside, and added a pair of twigs with lichens for trees. Down this etheral landscape runs a stag. The art piece can be hung with the hand-braided cord made from secondhand yarn.
