So like, i saw those snuggy hood hat things from Spencer's before, and presented
Retardfabio the idea that you wear it, and the long hood flaps wrap around your face and head tight, and you see through the Gengar hats eyes, speak through its mouf, can only see, speak, and think Gengar thoughts. And that you wear it more and more and mentally corrupt and degrade and ghostify, becoming more and more like Gengar until you are Gengar >3<
I still hate doing slowburn, but it was the idea XP
It also harkens back to my old old original pokemon hat TFs with Haunter kekeke
Doodled too so its rather rough and no undersketchy blep

Are the bits that seem out of order (small snippits between laying down with the mask on to taking off the mask) taking place inside the mind?
Also, any chance you could go over how you did the cloth in the first bit, and you have a copy of the Spencer's Gengar hat you mentioned?

Naw, the only time i would say its in the mind is looking through the eyes and showing Gengar claws, as thats first person. I'd say the closeup to hypno eyes also is more lack of perspective, its just what people like artistically, so i figured throw that in to indicate MC is happening XP
Everything else is along the way, showing and indicating the changes that happen as its repeatedly worn.
Cloth stuff like hats i absolutely hate doing, because my style is already just simple, and trying to figure out how to make sure it seemed like clothe/plush was ridiculous x.x
The most i could think of was just show stitching along the side so it would have some dimension and show that its a bit ploomfy. We also bought the literal last one from SPencer's at 50% off today for this purpose XD
I kept trying to find pictures of it online and couldn't find ANY, not even on-site. The most i could say is its those fuzzy soft anime or animal hats with really really long side flaps that have small pockets on the end to put your hands to keep them warm.

By cloth I meant the top panel (hat "ears") and the panels next to the ones with the view outside the hat and the first one with the hypno-eyes (main body), mainly how you got the ears to "flap in the wind" and the body to scrunch over the face (most visible at the bottom of the hat).
Oh, that was mostly adding stitch lines, like sewing seams, that you might find on say, the shoulders of a t-shirt, the sides of your pants, etc. They're everywhere you look really if you look at your clothing, or plushies, etc. Sometimes in real plushies it needs to be more subtle otherwise it looks very low quality, unless its an effect you actively want. Like, it may not be that visible, but i draw it that way because i otherwise have no really good way to make it look like what its supposed to be XD
As well, the scrunching is a general sort of fabric fold tight thing. Its something you have to look at and emulate as you learn.

This is why I never go into Spencer's; you never know where those things have been.
Also, second to last pannel reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpyg94OzHK0
Don't know if that was your intention, or just a coincidence.
