Yeap, RPGmaker MV, but I did on photoshop ^^

I've got VX ace edition i dont know how that fairs compared to the other versions but I've been interested in using it more often.

Ace is, in my opinion, a much more user friendly software.

Also, it may be my computer, but when using ace your ability to interface with the project is 2x - 3x the speed of MV, though I suspect that this is because MV is using a different setup for word input.

But with ACE can you still do complex visual designs rather than the simple grid look also add layers of depth of graphics to the world such as one layer can have pipes or leaves above the ground your walking on for example.

It's the trade off between the two.

I'm more used to Ace since I've had it for 2+ years, but people seem to like the visual aesthetics of MV. Either way, as long as you're having fun then either or is good.

IN case you all need to ask questions or get advice.

Between the cabin, stumps, design and look of it. Would this be somewhat of a Westward (I-IV) inspired game?
Because if it isn't it looks like a spot on relative.

Well as far as the first and second Westward games I enjoyed them when I played them long ago. I could recommend them. And if you were to look them up thru google images you would find a good few pictures whose style resembles the one you posted above very very similarly.

Not only that but the placement and size of everything in my mind immediately made me think of an upgraded looking Westward style game.

I never did have patience for parallax mapping in photoshop. I too am working on a game with MV. I'm using the "Doodads" plugin to kinda get the same look as with parallax maps. It's still time consuming though. Great to see someone else using RPG Maker though!

Where are you production wise for the game?
