Ya, well all your mount has to do is get you close enough and you should be able to care of the rest. I'm sure Ferberus is also a great help when traveling between towns and to various places as well. Faster transportation is so good when you acquire it in games, hehe.
He's meant to look intimidating, yet he fails to attain that in the future adventures ^^
