Hehe yeh indeed. But I think this was an important thing to make it a bit more logical to let them interact in a similar size class. I think of Tsarmina from the second books who did a sword fight duel with Martin the warrior. If the sized would be natural, this would have been a short fight and no fair at all^^
wow! this is one damned fine looking capturing scene! I'm just loving how you feature one in the prosess of beeing overpowered where he is handgagged and about to tied up, one hogtied and still struggling and one properly secured and dragged off to who knows where! I'¨m absolutly loving this scene =D
oh now I want to see more adventures of these kidnapping vermin gang =D

ugh sadly not too well, I've been having huge troubles getting a full night sleep these recent weeks as I keep waking up dead tired or not beeing able to sleep. So sadly I didn't get much work done last week due to this but I hope to get the next page done this week even though the sleeping problems still presist.
just make sure to get rest whenever you have the possibility. We can wait patiently for you to be ready for new pics to be posted
Do not force yourself too hard. Health comes first, art is on a second matter.
All good wishes to you from this ole dark rat out of the shadows. May you sleep tight and dream of good times and good things with all the blessing, the night can give
... ok that sounds creepy, hehe
anyway take care, Sir

HAH! Heh heh, oh wow... Kjets once talked with me about drawing something like this, but I'm glad you ended up doing it first, because you came up with a scenario MUCH better than anything I ever could! :D
I feel more sorry for these guys because everybody in the comment section keeps on calling them "bunnies" when they're actually hares. XD Plus, they're new recruits, so the Long Patrol hasn't lost their touch. And with their line of work, its impossible not to lose a few battles.
But the more I looked at this, I suddenly realized that the hare on the far left reminded me of how Prince Philip in "Sleeping Beauty" gets captured, *and* that the hare in the middle looks like how Aladdin gets captured as well. Was this intentional, or just a coincidence? ;)
One last thing: I love all the different designs for the characters, especially the middle hare, I really like the way how the fur tufts on his head are styled. :D

thanks much for your nice comment *bows deeply*
and the poses were drawn out of coincidence, I had not thought of Prince Phillip and Aladdin, but after the post was done, I looked at it and my eyes went like this ->
This was done out of my subconscious memory, I suppose, hahahaha

true that
and forgive me, but I had to think of water ship down by looking at your avatar, where it says: All the world will be your enemy, prince with 1000 enemies. And whenever they catch you, they kill you. *translated from the german, I don´t know if the quote really says this by meaning*^^;

Yes, I have seen WSD as a kid at a young age during eastern holidays at my aunt´s place. Some scenes frightened me very much and some scenes brought me to tears, but the story is really epic and tragic.
I only know the german version, so I wasn´t sure about the translation at all.
Art Garfunkels Bright eyes is still one of my favorite songs ever

Considering the time period when the movie was made, I think it cought the flair very well, it was the cold war period and the late 70 and the 80s were famous for their rather dark and mature animated movies.
I wouldn´t say that bright eyes is a depressing song, because i think it is about the simple fact, that every single thing in the world will come to an end sooner or later, I allways have the feeling that this song is about somebody who has accepted this fate

his point of view is not entirely wrong, but it is not ok to have a "i am right, you are wrong" philosophy
if being completely passive is his choice for life, so be it, but he hasn´t the right to force others to follow the same way
Cowslip is in my oppinion an allegory for those people who allready have lost all their hope.
In the song bright eyes, the impression is that the dream beyond the horizon is strange, but nothing to be afraid of, so the singer hasn´t lost hope, he only dreams of of another place
sorry, that doesn´t make really sense, hehe

Yeah, trying to kill Holly and Bluebell just because they knew Hazel and company was wrong, as was scratching Fiver for talking about wires or hiding their existence from our heroes, so they would get caught in them instead of Cowslip's lot.
I wonder for how long this wires thing had been going before Hazel and the rest arrived? Was it within single rabbit generation or longer? How long did it took to reshape warren's mentality and customs?
That does make some sense. :) Fiver certainly didn't lose hope he would find Hazel alive.

The hares on the Long Patrol could perhaps have been more vigilant, though if they're maybe new recruits they should perhaps not be judged too harshly, and those do look like particularly vicious and veteran vermin, probably with a well planned ambush and certainly quick and proficient with binding their captives. It does make for a dynamic action scene, with a lot of variety in the poses and individual characters and as usual excellently drawn.
I do remember in the cartoon with Skalrag's interrogation involving tickling while tied to a rack and I think his eventual demise, through further tickling resulting in him losing balance and falling from a considerable height to his death, so hopefully not a similar fate for the unfortunate hares though I don't imagine they'd be treated too kindly.
I suspect the Redwall setting is one Eternal would have to be cautious in if he were to visit, considering rats have a rather poor reputation though hopefully it would be realised he's really not malign even if he may look a little intimidating on first glance.

There is this quote: Experience is the name that people give all their errors they had made in life^^
So this is an experience to make for those hares, but hopefully their fate won´t be as bad as the poor fox had to suffer
And Eternal would defenitly be in danger in a redwall setting, for his appearence is like the one of Shadow^^

I was lucky to watch the tv show on a german channel for the last time when it was aired, but ever since it is vanished from tv. The show is rather mature, although the dark elements from the books had been removed or were shown "softer"
this wasn´t a scenario from the show, just a "what if" scenario from the books (I have two of them)

To be honest, I prefer the books because the action there is rather mature and the character design - if I would have been the chief director of the show - could have been less kids-style, but more fitting for the character design that was used in Gargoyles or the stream tv show Kulipari Frog army
but the tv show as it is is also cool and I wouldn´t want to miss it
