style experiment! went for a storybook type piece inspired by nordic/saxon artwork. this is my kelpie son, hakon, giving u the Eye while he's drinking from a pool

I really love the face and body position.
I think if you wanted to go for a more story book like style you should draw the trees more detailed and branching but otherwise I love the mood of this picture.
I personally think the Icelandic version of this myth is scarier (maybe cause I grew up terrified of it)
Their called nykur. (they are also more similar to the finish myth about the same kind of creature)
They are the same but their hoofs are turned backwards and sometimes also their ears and they also their neighing sounds like the sound of a frozen lake cracking.
