Recently I've re-discovered a show I watched as a kid, Blazing Dragons. I was pretty surprised to find out that not only was it not horrible like most of my childhood favorites it was also created by one of the people behind Monty Python, Terry Jones, and while being a kids show it couldn't go full bore with it it has some pretty good humor. Sadly the show takes a dive in it's second season, with a massive budget cut resulting in a drop in animation quality and half length episodes. As far as I know it got hammered pretty hard by censors, the American version missing half the jokes because "concerned mothers" where afraid it would harm their children or some bullshit.
I'm probably going to do the rest of the characters like this too, maybe even do something with them beyond fanart for a 20 year old show, who knows. It's been a long time since I enjoyed drawing something this much.

I highly recommand !
Also, as for season 2, I recommand watching an episode of season 1 first, then an episode of season 2, and alternating, so the contract won't be too violent. Also, careful, some s2 episodes are lame or WTF while others are as good as s1 in their way.

I did enjoy parts of season 2, my problem with it is just the change in animation messing with the character designs, and some of the episodes have weird and disjointed plots. I am probably going to run with some of the ideas from season 2 though. While I don't want to get anyones hopes up I have been really considering doing a crossover with Lovecraftian horror.
Well, frankly, I see the changes of format as a possibility for us fans to see the characters in different plots situation and styles. Also, I prefer some s1 designs (Flame for example) but also some s2 designs (Burnevere for example), and some equally (Blaze for example)
