Gungywamp.

The name, had you come upon it in a work of fiction, would seem overdrawn and implausible. Yet there _is_ such a place, not far from where I live. It has been inhabited from prehistoric times, up to 200 years ago, and has some interesting and mysterious structures and rock carvings.

The other day, I picked up the local paper, and there was an article on the place; and for some reason, this odd fellow popped into my brain. So, naturally, I _had_ to drop what I was doing and paint him. 7@=e
