Hey everyone. I thought I'd do a comparison of my first Oscar drawing compared to my latest which will be used as a conbadge demo.
I posted my first drawing of Oscar first 2 years to the day, today! (Which I didnt realise until just now when I checked!!) At the time I thought it was a drawing masterpeice, but now when I look at it I see so much wrong with it; the body's too long, his right leg is somehow dislocated, I dont like his rough fur, etc.
Looking at my latest drawing of Oscar I can really see how much style has changed from semi-realism to waaayyy more toony. But Toony suits my drawing speed for the comic.
In the next few days I will be posting about conbadge commissions here - they will be advertised to my Patreon supporters first and spaces will be limited.

I still like to draw semi-realism, the main reason I dont is time - with me working hard on Orbit:encounter comic. The older one took me 30 hours to do, where as the newer one only 3-4 hours. I do think it would be nice to do a proper redraw of the semi-realism style in the future though :)
Yes, he did. The length of Oscar's body on one on the left is far too long - if I were to draw him in semi-realism I would cut his body shorter than that because his spine doesn't look stable. With the one on the right he is more curled up, so that does make him look shorter :) but his body is still otter dimensions :D
