Awww... Cute little piece. Of course, the sight of the ruined town is horrific and Zelda's remarks about the horrors of war are true, but the cat brought that warm and soft feeling to the end of the story. In the ruins there is a survivor, who accompanies the heroes passing through the ruined town. Nice little piece, I think you did really well with this format, even if the story is really short, it's very entertaining. Good work.

Some technical issues like typos (abandon - abandoned, meet - meat), but otherwise short and fairly vivid, w hich is good to pull off.

Short and sweet. Just enough background of the characters to make the cat seem meaningful; really good for such a short piece.

As fooz said, some technical problems here and there. Also a bit of repetition of the word "looked" in that one paragraph, which is easily curable with some synonyms. Nothing that really detracted.
