I think they are, but even if I didn't.... and I mean this in the least rude way possible, but who cares? If they make you happy and you have fun designing them, I say make them anyways! If you don't want to make adopts out of them that's one thing, but personally I wouldn't give up on the species and at the very least keep them around for projects and stuff. Original doesn't always mean good, and 'already done' doesn't always mean bad! Not for nothing, look at how many coffee shop AUs exist in fanart and fanfic. They've already been done but people still love them! I think as long as you're not directly ripping off another made up species for your woofs, you're good. uvu
