Probably the predecessor to the Dual Laser Gatling Armament, once again solid round ammunition. Down Side: its heavier and twice the weapon the Single Gatling Armament is so very limited mobility and it makes you almost a sitting target. To counter-act sitting duck syndrome you'd want to have a wingman that would divert enemy mechs attention so you can hammer away at them.
Plus side: twice the ammunition, twice the barrels, but doesn't mean its twice as nice. To fix the limited ammunition spare mags would need to be kept in a storage rack or something. Finally think I should meantion the bore for this weapon would be 50. cal or higher. the humanoid and beastial mechs come close to a 3 story building (the larger humanoid ones do) if not close to 2 and a half stories. Though there are some that are MUCH larger but they're compensating for something... -shrugs-

I will make a general comment on all three pieces right now. VERY nice work. I love the concepts and quite frankly, I'm a huge mecha fan. Armored Core is one of the greatest games ever. And of course, Gundam Wing being the greatest gundam series, IMO at least.
I would like to know though, have you posted the fore-mentioned story on this account? If so I would very much like to read it.

I tried to play Armored core, never really could get into it since I tried the PSP version. I liked Gundam Wing Endless Waltz, the only Gundam Wing i've seen.
No, I think i tried to post some on my Deviant Art Account, which is dead for reasons beyond me. You can read it there probably, can't remember how much i did post there. Also be aware i can't check my messaged on DA, it just won't let me check them and i've accumulated near 150 unread messages since i also can't get it to log me out.

I managed to get my DA to work again and there are six 'pages' up in the DA gallery. I stopped posting it when i realized how poorly done it was and just how long it would take to redo an almost 250 page story. ^^; The huge number demoralized me. XD Since it took me most of my sophmore, junior, and senior year to write the first 2 and finish them then start on the other 3. Just for the sake of listing them I'll list them from what I can remember.

Can't rightly recall the fifth one, maybe i considered the fourth one to be two stories since i planned it to be a collective of stories from characters in the original 2 stories. All 4 were written in the same fashion so one day I may just rewrite Battle of the Mechs (BotM) over again starting from scratch.
Also if you choose to read the pages on DA you may find out I had a hierarchy for the Beastial mechs or atleast made some of them balanced.

Ah, flight combat sims. Shame the only one i've ever played was Blazing Angels Squadrons of WW2 for the old Xbrick... i mean Xbox. Still a great game plenty of stuff to do after you blow through campaign... like unlocking all the ace paint scheme's for the planes, upgrading your bombs and guns damage and whooping friends in air to air combat.

Hmm, I have to get that game than. I played a few One generic one based around the time of vietnam, for PC, you can use all the major planes of that era. But its got a weird story line. iF22 for Windows 95, sucks tho, MIG 29 Fulcrum, logged a few hours on it for PC. and my personal fav Ace Combat. Kicking series.

Blazing Angels and its sequal for the 360 were pretty good (never played the sequal). In the first one you have a God mode cheat code and a 'makes weapons stronger' cheat code. As far as I know all the planes for WW2 are in the game that they were able to put in it. They should have included the P38 Lighting, damn good long range bomber and long range support fighter. I think you'll either enjoy Blazing Angels Squadrons of WW2 or get frustrated on 2 certain levels. The last one and the one where you have to find the 'heavy water.' those are the only two ican't do without the god mode cheatcode.
If Blazing Angels had the P38 in it i think I'd be much more scary with it. I am a slight threat with a BF110 but the thing is SLOW. I'll have to respawn twice before i can actually kill anyone I can generally line up 2 kills before i get tired of the plane and begin crashing into crap.

Wel IDK too damn much of the BF110. But in a match I would pick witch ever one had the 20 and or 30mm cannons in it. I like fire power! thinking its BF109, but IDK
I always settle for the units that inflict super heavy damage. Like in a lot of FPS's I usually cheat online and use a Rocket Launcher, like in Halo, or start using a sniper as a assault rifle. Not cheating, but people start crying cause I am kikcing their ass's with it.

teh BF109 was the fighter version i believe. Between it and the BF110 i'd take the Bf109. Its got good speed, but teh reason i love the P38 so much more is all its guns are in the nose. Its just a matter of lining up your target instead of however other fighters had to aim with thier guns in the wing tips. To me the P38 Lighting was the best (if not unique) plane of WW2.
