It might not be my place to say anything, because I believe in people finding their own path in life instead of following someone else... But I'll tell you my personal answer to this question...

Love... It hurts because you truly cared. It wouldn't hurt if you didn't care. Despite whatever happened, it was real. Even if the connection is long distance, the emotions can still be felt burning bright. Don't ever forget to care, because the moment you stop is the moment you lose someone special.

No breakup, i am still happily taken. And thank god for that. It was more meant towards people that i care and feel deeply for. Persons i am fond of but... well... seemingly they don't feel the same way. Happens i guess...
