Honestly, I’ll be the first person to admit the faults the sonic franchise has. One thing that I could never quite get past was how... cookie cutter a lot of designs are. Like using the same body and head shape for other hedgehogs, that’s fine, they’re the same species. But there are tons of possibilities, and restricting themselves to the same body type just seems like a waste.
In short, from time to time, I've tried to draw sonic style characters of certain animals, and attempted to make their bodies more interesting at least a little. This mostly started as a little side project, but it's fun to do either way :P
(And feel free to take whatever influences you like from these designs!)
