Character summary in short: Cessarin comes from 2,000 years in the
FUUUTUUUUUURE. In her natural form, she looks like a vaguely-human
sized puddle of water. She purposely shifted herself into a form
similar-looking to Shandy in order to gain the group's trust, and has
kept that shape as her 'default' since arriving in the past.

Cessarin came from the future in order to prevent a great disaster... too bad
she doesn't actually know anything about the disaster, as all
historical records beyond the fact that it happened have been lost.
She has an aggressive 'if you want it, go get it' attitude, which can
be off-putting to the other characters.

Because she learned 'dead English' from a textbook, she sometimes speaks like a LOLcat taught her English. She tells people it's because she's Russian, but her excuse quickly breaks down if you realize she can't speak any Russian AT ALL.

Cessarin is caught between her conflicting feelings about the heaven that betrayed her, the hell that can't be allowed to overrun the Earth, and the feelings towards the demon she must protect, lest the future she comes from never happen and her existence fade away.

ETA: People often ask what species Shandy and Cessarin are supposed to be. Which would basically come down to 'What species is Shandy'. And the truth is, I don't honestly know. He's based on the god Anubis (I know, I'm so original), hence the ears, but he has the horse-like tail going on.
They're angels and demons, that's all I can say.
