The changes were small at first--people would forget what they were doing, or would be a little more clumsy than usual. Then, came the accidents--more and more, folk who had never had a problem making it to the privy found they had soiled themselves with little warning.

Witnesses reported seeing faeries casting spells from the shadows, and pouring strange potions into public wells, and adventurers were summoned to seek out the reason behind the seemingly sudden malicious act, and put a stop to it. However, they were the first to fall victim to the brunt of the faeries' magic. One by one, party by party, adventurers would return to their homes, newly diaper dependent and docile, or having been regressed to their early childhoods, while some never returned at all.

Rumors surrounding the missing champions' fate began to surface, suggesting those resistant to the power of the faeries were spirited away and held prisoner in an enchanted nursery, where their constant torment would eventually bend their minds to their new masters' wills.

As time marched on, few throughout the realm would prove immune to the power of the faeries.
