i wanted to do something mystical, and i've ended with something only colorful. sic. i hate this.

crayons, watercolor pencils, ink. white gel pen for dots.

My guess would be its because theres no background around her to give that mystic presence-

However, you did indeed fulfill her mysticism with the lantern instead.
