You know, I stopped caring about or watching the Pokemon anime after the 3rd Generation, and any attempts to go back, just wasn't doing anything for me. Especially when they tried to make Team Rocket "badass" a while ago. That.. just isn't who they are.

But the new Sun & Moon episodes (in Japanese)? An absolute joy. Beautifully animated, tons of wonderful callbacks to older series tropes and episodes, and a very unique spin on the rather large and loveable cast of Gen VIII. The new look for Ash/Satoshi takes a bit getting used to, but other than that, it's just.. great.

And yes, Bewear's murderhugs are also awesome. For a Pokemon with such a simplistic and arguably boring design, it's got a huge amount of personality that more than makes up for it. The fact it's extremely powerful when used right in the games is just a bonus!

tl;dr: Love Pokemon. Love Sun & Moon, games and anime alike. Love this art. Love it all!
