Strangely enough, this actually was the approach my counselor took to our first meeting. They had an entire folder of "testimonials" from other students, talking about their observations of my behavior.
I guess they just didn't think they could trust me to speak first. It left me with a very strange "cornered by the lions" feeling.

And yes, I had a lot of tough times growing up... most everything you see happen to Peter in the strip actually happened to me (or is loosely based on real events). I never thought while growing up that my crappy childhood would later be fodder for a comic, but hey, they say you write what you know. :D

If I was to write about my cruddy childhood like you do, and turn it into a manga like Tokyopop, I think that I'd be rich cause it'd be funny, stupid, and most of all, LONG!! I got a lotta emotional baggage, but I laugh at it and I'm cool with it.
Good to see that you're the same way, and would the "loosely based" be the guardians? Everything except them seems like it really coulda happened to you.
