Excellent work! I think Goshawks are the most striking raptors out there.

The only thing that would have improved the image (for me, anyway) is if the eye were that deep blood red that you tend to see in older adults.

The general rule of thumb for goshawks (and Accipiter hawks in general) is that the young of the year have yellow/orange eyes, and they become more red/mahogany with age, but there is considerable variation between individual birds. It's too bad it's not a stronger correlation -- otherwise, you'd have a handy field aging tool. (I studied goshawks for three years as an undergrad. I miss those days!)

Goshawks are very striking and handsome birds. If I were in avian form, I'd definitely be a gos. You've done a great job here of depicting both the species' appearance and their intense, focused gaze.
