The third and final installment of Baby Yoshi's Scrapbook. This time, Mommy Yoshi has taken the time to share with everyone what a lovely day she, Baby, and her husband have had while celebrating Yoshi's Island's Victory Day. The day in which Yoshies eat plenty of melons and are extra, super happy about how they managed to, at last, drive Bowser off their island. May peace and happiness rule supreme for many years to come!
Missed a Segment? Mommy Yoshi loves to share her little cutie with all those who will sit down with her.

Ehehe, victory day sounds fun! It reminds me of a firework-filled celebration we have here during the summer too. 8D
I wonder, when you made these, did you start with the images first, and base your story off of then, or did you have a certain idea in mind, and used what you had around ya? Maybe it's possible to have done both. 8D
Either way, I think it was a neat little three-part series. Hopefully you had fun making it, and will keep have fun raising your own baby too! :3 I think your parental side showed through a bit more with this series.
Oh, and I think I forgot to mention this with the last scrapbook too, but I think the font on the front cover turned out white again, instead of black. Luckily it's only the title and your name, not the whole story, but you might prefer to have that in, hehe. :3

Thanks, Oxnard. I couldn't help but make one, final installment in the series. The parent side of me really did take over quite a bit as I put these together. :)
Oh, with regard to their creation, you are right on both counts. I just went into my art folder and started pulling piccies into a Word document. After that, my mind thinks of how to connect them into something. From there, some pics get added and removed. Finally, I think of where the "stamps" would best fit in and just start, like a real photo-album of sorts, begin creating tables to cleanly present the material. :)
The first one was quite erratic in I had no plan going in. The second one I knew what I wanted to do, but was unsure of how it would be received as it was more a "tug at your heartstrings" tale. This one, on the other hand, was uber easy as I only had six real piccies left at my disposal. Though, I was actually more pleased with the actual story I wrote for it than I thought I'd be. Oopa!
Oh, and thanks for sharing about the "Title Page." I had hoped the Green background would keep the white text from hiding. However, I've had some issues here-and-there with the concept and, well, it seems they lingered beyond my initial hopes. Ah, well. There's always next time. ;)

Ooh, I think that brings up an interesting idea (for some reason, that sounds more like something you'd say than I would!) It is a lot like a photo album. (: Except it has words and a story to go with it... I think that's how photo albums really should be! :D I mean, photos are nice, but sometimes, as time goes on, you can forget some things, or maybe you don't remember someone in a photo you only really met or talked to a few times. Writing and photos, I think go great together! :D ...Actually that's probably why I make so many comics... but I have a few sketchbooks/journals like that, and I like seeing the idea played out in the works of others too! Hehe.
<LoL!> Would you believe ALL of those drawings are buried deep at the bottom of my gallery?
As a creative thinker / writer, I strive to find new ways to improve upon what I do. After doing my "Fun With Numbers" journal, I thought to myself about how I could rejuvinate pieces I posted way back when I first joined FA and make them "better."
It's been so fun to take each piccie and "re-word" it. As they say, a picture is worth a 1,000 words. No one ever said those words always had to be the same. Nope, nope, nope!

He is a cutie, isn't he?
Yoshies are curious creatures in that, seemingly, their babies, speech, and abilities vary from island-to-island. This little fellow is from an island where the saddle seems to start at the tail, but grows up with him so he can rode about later by, for instance, a plucky plumber with a grudge against turtles. :)
I'm sad to see it finished, too. Though, thanks to you and everyone else, I learned a lot from the experience of creating it. Perhaps a similar series will emerge in the future... ? ;)
