Kung Hei Fat Choi to every body here at FA and the World !!!!!

Today is the day to celebrate Chinese new year,well for this one was inspired from oriental Chinese/Korean/Japanese and a hint of our cultural identity (Igorot) drawn in this piece,the but details is so complicated to make,but it came out beautifully. . .

Here I represented the Rooster(Kawitan)(公鸡) wearing our Traditional wanes(loin cloth) and added the Akupan(basket flint bag)also wearing the Buwaya(crocodile teeth necklace),because its the year of the fire rooster,the rooster holds a burning wood.

For the background "as simple at it is" I added a Chinese apricot( 杏花) and a nice Japanese earth(地球).

In our Culture,the rooster represent protection,time and movement"But its a good alarm clock in the rural area",it also represent spirituality and sexuality,that's why most of our courtship dances are related to the rooster. . .

But for the Chinese:A little bit the same with our traditional belief of the rooster,but more on Feng Shui(风水). . .
