so im designing this species and i feel like it needs more...so far here's what i got:

physical traits:
>the Salynx(SAY-leenks) is a feline species found in and around marshland areas
>they're only 3ft tall on average.the largest recorded Salynx was 3'8
>they have very small feet with three toes.paw pads are only as small as your pinky nail
>they have very large hands(no paw pads). they're used primarily for swimming and hitting stuff.
>males have acutely stronger hind legs and are faster runners.
>some Salynxs have wings and horns but they are'nt functional and typically do not grow but there have been some instances in which the horns grow
>all Salynxs have extra neck and heel fur but the females tend to have softer fur in general
>Salynxs are a predominately female species. 70% F/30% M
>their tails and tongues are split and the males have rounded teeth as opposed to the sharp teeth found in females

behavior:
>female Salynxs tend to be more controlling of situations
>they dont like to kill stuff so instead they just annoy predators away by making loud crying noises.
>regardless of gender, Salynxs like to accessorize their ears with earrings and some gauge their ears
>it is very rare to see a male try to assert himself because it is not necessary
>Salynxs eat fish,small bugs,crocodile eggs,birds, and pretty much anything they can get their hands on
>the main predator of Salynxs are crocodiles and humans that hunt them for their horns that have "healing abilities"
>Salynxs can have have multiple partners in a year and have around 3-4 pups in a litter which are usually all female. Because of this they find different partners to hopefully have males to keep the species ongoing
>young Salynxs will stay around the father but sometimes go on hunts with their mother
>to keep clean Salynxs lick themselves like cats
