It's funny to me-- although I don't know why it's funny exactly-- how the chipmunk looks so shocked, and he's also definitely rubbing up against both rabbits' junk right about now.
The hand gestures of all of them are really nice-- the brown rabbit's pat is charming, the chipmunk's hugging that leg is cute, and the grey's relaxed leaning prop makes a kind of good bookend to the image-- a place to go to rest.
One of the more chaotic of your bodily-compositions-- just given the tangles of straight lines with all the limbs, and the only major curvy thing (the chipmunk's tail) being mostly hidden-- but it works putting the viewer into the chipmunk's squirming position.

I feel like this is classic "Whimsy" in that a scene is expressed in a subtle or teasing way rather than explicitly. I need to get back to this sorta thing. Of course, I often take commissions from, you know...men. So any subtlety is gonna have to be all up to me and my own projects.
I checked out your little story and I'll respond shortly. I agree though that I prefer this kind of thing to just be left up to the imagination.
