One day, I'd like a real plushie of Yosh. However, for now, this will most certainly do. :)
I'd love to hear your descriptions of this piece. My memory of Neopets helps me have a good, general idea. I do like hearing what you all have to say, too. :)
therainbowtroll is doing $10 commissions of various Neopets Paint Brush possibilities for your character(s). If you are, or were, a Neopets fan, I'd certainly recommend getting one.

Plushie Yosh is adorable! He's the classic plushie look, mostly a soft green and white colour with patches of other patterns - even his white diaper's got a blue patch on it. One arm's green with white spots, the other's orange with yellow swirls.
My favourite part is the face - he's got button eyes and his glasses, and the soft yellow beak has a happy smile. When you put them all together, he looks very clever, as if he's discovered the secret to plushie baby happiness! ^.^

*Snugs and giggles* Thanks so much for your telling of the image, Zoom-Zoom. It makes it sound so adorable! I do so love how Boom can capture little Yosh.
What makes this most fun is how I played Neopets to get through my Masters Degree and did always want to get my hands on a Plushie Paint Brush. :)

That's another thing tthat made Neopets so much fun. You could have a pet and actually own plushies of it.
Before I couldn't play it anymore, I had a Baby Scorchio and was after the Baby Scorchio Plushie.
A fun fact is how my name "Yosh-E-O" is dervised from a book you can buy in Neopets entitled "Scorch-E-O". It's a harder book to find and is for younger Neopets. :) My full name, Yosh E. O'Ducky came later.

I remember finding Webkins. It was a clever idea in how buying the plushie gave you the code for playing the online game.
I discovered Neopets through the CCG that came out in 2003. It got me through my Masters Degree as an easy-to-play game that didn't require too much dedication per sitting. This helped a lot since Masters level work is very time consuming.
Did you like Webkins? Did you keep any of the Webkins you bought?

oh yeah, all my Webkins are in my old toy box
by now the account should have expired, but who cares
I had probably around 10
particularly liked the bat, snake, and fish
fish were cool because they got their own underwater room
I know birds would get like a room on top of a tree but I never got a bird

really cool animals
the snakes were also cool because they would be curled up in a circle and drag themselves along, plus using their tail to hold things
fish were also cool because when out of the water rooms they would get to move around in a water bubble
then of course I liked all the daily jobs stuff
hospital mini game,
the fact that they had a Menorah as an item that I would set up in December
and a course the fact that I could have the plushies next to me when I played it

Finding plushie makers that can and are willing to do an OC are very hard. I tried asking the one who did my ponies if she could do Yosh, but she said it was beyond her ability. :( Yosh is a bit more complex than a MLP Pony, though. *Shrugs*
I have a question for you, good friend. By any chance do you and Tavi have to do taxes this year? I ask due to recently having done a ton of research on the IRS for medical deductions and thought, unless you've already checked, it could help you guys. :)

If I don't find a job this year, I'll be in the same boat with taxes. (My former employer paid out my meager retirement along with PTO in 2016)
On more fun stuff, I definitely would be for more plushie makers being able to make customs of our beloved alter-egos. I know Yosh gets me through a lot when human world me is not doing so hot.

I'm on SSDI while being put through the agony of a very unhelpful Long Term Disability. I'm also with the state Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, but they are taking months-upon-months to genuinely get me on track for all I need to fully be ready for what lies ahead. *Shrugs* I wish those systems designed to help weren't such a pain.
It would be nice if there were better programs for us to succeed despite our physical shortcomings. SSI and SSDI don't pay enough to cover living expenses let alone those associated with medical.
What's interesting is, if you look through what you can write off for taxes, you could potentially get money to help with such issues if it weren't for thresholds that, depending, can be a pain. (Lots of items for daily upkeep can actually be deducted as long as you have records and/or receipts)
*Sigh* It's times like this I wish I had a comfy diaper, a Yosh plush, and could just cuddle until I feel all safe again. :)

Ah, I see. Mine helps as much as it can. I don't expect it to help with absolutely everything, which is why I'm glad we live with such a nice person as Uno. With his help, we get by.
I imagine its much different for you though, seeing as how you have a family to take care of. There should be some kind of additional help available for families.
Maybe, but I don't know what I could write off besides what I spend on meds and paying doctors, which isn't consistent.
Awww, I know. Diapers have become difficult for us to afford, but we still get them because we need them. There's no help for that that I can find.

That's what I had thought on. I remember reading how you can't deduct "Diaper Services" on taxes, but I do believe you can deduct if it is what you need as a result of a medical condition. (Kind of like a prescription, but for not since it plays a part in maintaining healthy conditions for you guys)
Today, I read some stories from people about how they came into liking diapers and wanting to wear them. I know there are those of us, like me, who'd enjoy the recreational padding fun. However, the stories of those who came to like them after life changing events always remind me to remain thoughtful as to what makes us find happiness in our given situations.
For me, I've found solace in being totally blind thanks to no longer having the bother of ever judging something from how it may look, or appear. It's also great for TV, movies, etc. since I can't be sad if things don't appear as I'd have liked them to. :)
I should be able to write-off a lot of the eye junk I needed to sustain my sight until I lost it completely last year. I'm glad for this, but still wish I didn't have to spend all the money on what I could've potentially used towards so many other things. This definitely includes my family.
*Crinklesnugs* I genuinely care for you and Tavi. You and I can relate a lot with how our careers got us to where we are now. I need to try and keep in better touch with you.

I don't think you can either. Even if a doctor declares you incontinent, the only help you may be able to get is assistance on the low grade diapers that don't hold much.
Aww, yeah, you know my story, but I'm not quite sure I know yours.
That great to hear. I don't think I could be that strong. I wouldn't handle it nearly so well.
Losing your sight is a devastating thing for most people. If there's help you can get for not having the ability to see anymore, make sure you go for it. You've lost a sense that a lot of people take for granted, so you deserve the help. Never feel bad about it.
*crinklehugs* We care for you too. ^^ I don't know of a better way to keep in contact, other than phones. That may be rather personal for you though.

I have no trouble in sharing phone numbers. Though, I'm just as comfortable being able to share words with you and Tavi as I can. (I actually need to check and see if I accidentally purged you from my "Watch List" when I had the mini, panic-attack for feeling awful over not being able to follow Submissions)
If there is a part of my story you'd like to know, I'd happily tell you. The short tale is I was born with Glaucoma that, over the years, destroyed my cornea and retina until vision in both eyes was officially terminated. Over this time, I tried following what I learned in college about "Being a good worker" at my Full-Time jobs and wound up getting negative feedback, bullying, and other nasty, psychological scars that I see a therapist for.
It is my hope to find a new job. I'd love to get paid like I was at my old job, but I'm not holding my breath given the stigma on us "Blindies".
As for diaper discounts for taxes, I wonder if they do like they do for "Hotel Lodging while away for medical"? They will pay so much back in deduction equivalent to what they deem a "Fair Market Price". I, so far, have translated this as, "If you spend $30 on diapers and the government feels you should only spend $20, you can write off $20 per purchase. You don't get the extra $10 for the effective padding, but still can claim within the limits allowed." :)

We can do that through notes if you want. I prefer to text via phone, rather than voice calls, if that is okay with you.
Well, I meant how you got interested in diapers and such. Hehe
I think you can. You may be blind, but you can still move about and work your hands.
Hmm, they may. I think I heard something about that too, though no doctor I've talked to about it seems to be able to help me find out just how to do it.

From what I've learned, you would only need a doctor to write a note stating how your diapers are medically necessary. Once you have this, you should be able, if you do any taxes, to take the receipts for your diapers and put them towards a tax deduction. This can also include other items you use to keep up your overall health, too. :)
How I got into diapers? I had a lot of fun talking with my therapists about this. I know I had an interest in them since I was at least four, or five. However, I only started to feel a desire for them once I became a teenager. The common consensus as to why I have such an affinity is my mind's desire to claim back a youth that was traumatized by peer torment and numerous eye appointments and surgeries. Internally, I crave solace from a world that has made my existence feel less than worthwhile. So, the diaper is a symbol of letting down my guard to know that I can be safe without someone, or something, causing me pain.
I know, when I was able to wear diapers, I always felt more relaxed. I felt so much less concerned about the world around me. This is why, towards the end of my time at my former employer, I'd wear them at work to help soothe myself as I got tore down by my peers and management. If I felt like I was being broken, I rocked myself in the padding and felt relaxed.
Texts always work best with me, too. Only downside is how, at times, my dictation doesn't came out right. I can make some corrections, but I know some words don't come off as I hear them. *Shrugs*

That's probably true, and I may get that diagnosis at some point. I still need to take care of the fissure that caused my incontinence, as it still bleeds and hurts from time to time. I want the doctor to know that even if the surgery makes me more incontinent, I want it, so long as it stops the pain and bleeding issues for good.
Ah, this does sound familiar. I think you did tell me this and I just forgot. It makes sense. Diapers have a similar effect on me and Tavi, but since its also for actual medical issues, it doesn't always. Sometimes it just feels like a regular thing we do every day.
That's okay, I can probably tell what you meant to say if it does that. Hehe

I've read lots of accounts of how those bound to diapers tend to like it. However, as with anything, there are those who flat out reject it and get mad at those who find pleasure in them.
Personally, as I relate it to being totally blind, you can have a "Glass Half Full" or "Glass of Half Empty". If I have to be blind, I find the benefit in knowing I don't need light to do anything. I'm also not afraid to walk in the dark and, often, find more joy in being able to walk when nobody wants to be out due to darkness. It's peaceful.
With diapers, I'm sure it can get annoying when they leak and having to pay for them. However, there is the benefit of being able to not worry if you are on a road trip, in the middle of something, or just want to have a feel of being little all over again. I know, in my recreational diaper usage, I felt so silly, in a good way, when I'd wet myself and feel how the diaper texture changed and how I could make it like a pendulum between my legs. I also found, as I've gained weight due to pills and medical stuff, they are cozy between the legs and cut down on chaffing. Especially when you can dump soothing powder down them. Oh, how relaxed I feel at the scent of baby powder. Underwear don't hold that stuff worth a hoot. :(
I'll resend you my phone number in a note sometime soon. Probably tomorrow. (Just taking care of some little things right now) :)
And, yeah. I think it's better to be out of pain and treat something before it could get worse, or cause more discomfort. It's why I had four surgeries last year. Waiting would've only made a worse result than going blind. (Kind of odd to believe something worse could happen, but I could've gotten an infection that made it's way into my brain. Yipes!)

Yeah, once, long ago, when I was first discovering ABs and such, I came across a forum of sorts that turned out to be a support group for incontinent people. Just looking around, I could tell they found no pleasure in it, and in one instance of someone trying to turn a negative into a positive, they were shouted down for it. So I just found it best not to mention it to anyone.
I got you. It makes sense. Growing up with complete 100% good eyesight with no problems though, I doubt I would adapt nearly as well.
Oh diapers are great for long trips. It only becomes an issue if its a really long trip and you need a change along the way, or you leak along the way. Both have happened with me, but I've managed to do okay thanks to Tavi. He brings along spare diapers and shorts just in case. It also helps when visiting doctors since I get nervous around them. It will especially help when I eventually have dental work done. It'll be the first time I've had dental work done in nearly 20 years.
Okay, I look forward to it. ^^
That's true, and it also relates to my dental problems. I noticed issues with my teeth a few months back, but couldn't afford to take care of them. So I decided to make it my New Year's resolution to get them taken care of. But now I have extra dental insurance to pay and I'm not sure how much I'll end up having to pay for the dental work itself.

You could always give
therainbowtroll a Note / PM to get one of your own. The price is extremely affordable. Especially when you consider how much commissions usually go for around here. :)

Really? That's so awesome! Does he seem friendly to you and your mom? Do you leave him out some food? Is he kind of like an outdoor cat in the sense where he'll head out during the day, but come back to his chair at night?
Neopets can be confusing. It has no clear goals. So, unless you can figure out goals for yourself, the game can be rather frustrating.

I know I can't wait for the birds official return. I missed out on Spring and early summer due to eye stuff last year and, as long as I'm not working yet, plan many walking trips to the duck pond. :)
Do you have a lot of snow where you are at? I'm used to having lots of snow, because I grew up in Northwestern Pennsylvania. However, I now live in Central PA and the snow is far less frequent. As snow makes cane travel rough, I don't miss it. :)
