I painted a picture of the things I wanted most
To color in the darker side of all my brightest hopes
But there was a monster standing where you should be
So I'll paint you wings, and I'll set you free

Started as a vent and turned into a giant project. Ended being rather relaxing, painting the fur and experimenting. Tried out Manga Studio for it, not bad. Dunno if I'll use it in the future, liked and disliked some things about it, but overall Im happy with the result.
Background is a combination of various brushes I don't remember where I got them from and a good deal of my tears as I did parts by hand.
also somewhat inspired by/redraw of http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13398239/ under the same title. Improvement yes.

also rip i lined the wings originally and then took the lines away to get a better effect. i cri.
