This is a collaborative between myself and  Jetslasher. I do an illustration for each blurb of story, and he does the story itself. It's good practice. I did this in SAI, trying out something that isn't OC 1.1. It's a small improvement in the line art but an improvement nonetheless.

That little black dot above the L is Floats.

On recollection, the plans for his birthday weren't all that well thought out. The ottsel was resting in the middle of a frosting landscape, the sweet flavor of it all was still rolling around on his tongue in the mix of saliva. Floats' day had started off normal enough after all. He'd woken up early to treat himself to a birthday surprise and then at the end of it all; he had planned to save what was left over and do it all again tomorrow!

One thing the Ottsel remembered doing for certain however, was telling Sheela; his roommate, the lombax to not touch the cake. It wasn't that Floats was selfish and didn't want to share, more so it was because of what he wished to do with the cake he'd made for himself. He wanted it to last and at the size he'd shrunk himself to, it would do much more than that.

Unfortunately for Floats, his lombax partner just couldn't help herself when it came to sweets of any sorts and following her nose it lead her right to the kitchen table. Her eyes lit up and within moments Sheela found herself seated infront of the cake...fork in hand completely unaware of Floats' shrunken form swamped in the frosting.


The Ottsel, on the other hand saw things from a very different perspective. He could hear the ominous thumping as Sheela drew closer to the kitchen. He could feel her lombax shaped shadow looming over the surface of the cake and then his large jade eyes caught sight of the metallic gleam of the fork. His birthday was about to turn into a real party.
