For my latest edition of "Throwback Thursday", I present the first of several 'photo-ops' taken on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 - when Scrabble Club 276 held the "28th Annual Scrabble Club Awards" night (at Veterans Park in Lauderhill, Florida).

Twenty-five members (old and new) attended the meeting/ceremony, as club president Sandee Bloom set up the room (including providing snacks [popcorn, pretzels, cookies, soda, etc.] and provided the plastic tablecloths for the snack tables).

I, myself, set up my Scrabble (R) board for the big event - making sure that I had all 100 tiles, at first, and then organizing some of the tiles to spell out a special message, welcoming the other members to Awards Night. I even brought along two of my 'gifts' (from past editions of said ceremony) - a lion plushie (wearing a shirt that reads "GRRRRReat Scrabble (R) Player") and a frog plushie (whose shirt reads "Toad-ily Awesome Scrabble (R) Player") - which I'd hope would give me some 'good luck' in one of the two games being played that night. Sandee liked my set-up so much, she whipped out her digital camera and took a snapshot of me, the board (with the message), and said plushies - which she'd promised to use as the main opening picture in the Scrabble Club 276 newsletter on the Internet.
