A quick little technique I was playing around with: I started by doodling random black shape, then use a low opacity white brush to 'etch' in details. It's fun and a quite relaxing little mental exercise to add stuff in to fit the shape!

After exhausting the ship's entire munitions storage trying to stop it, reducing it to less than 15% of it's original mass, the last surviving members of the classified prototype transport 'Relentless' find themselves quickly running out of options of what can stop the the prematurely activated, and logically glitched prototype Onslaught-class Golem that was originally planned to be backup for a strike team, but now, thanks to it's damaged mental core, is set on fulfilling a perverse pleasure in stalking, hunting, and 'dismantling' the ship's crew.

Yeah but that idea of humans being spare parts for an alien robot isn't new. Walter Koenig (Chekov from Star Trek) stars in a movie along that lines called Moontrap. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moontrap
I just imagined seeing this lumbering pile of barely-recognizable parts - like a zombie transformer - coming at you down a hallway. It's stretched, torn, and broken fingers gripping at everything and bending or breaking it all. Possibly dragging a few hundred pounds of broken parts still attached by a cable or two, behind it... Giving off a roar that sounds like metal being twisted
But... That eyes freak me out, man!
How about a Dilithium-energized, Helically-polarized, Gyroscopically-stabilized Model 7 Mk II personal photorp launcher instead? (You know. the version with the 3 cup holders and the Sandisk Sansa drop-in port?)
Geeze, one of these days I gotta draw what that looks like.

My plan in these situations, always have more guns on the ship than you say in the reports.
The bots won't see it coming, till they've got have a ton of railgun slag ammo shoved up their arse...
*sips root beer*
somehow my brain went arse->Nekogami's art-> Uncursed Midna pron.

Wow, that is, scary. But, seriously, if that's 15% of it's endoskeletal support structure work, then what was it like at a 100%? I'd really like to know that, because it looks like it's dragging itself forward on it's two main manipulator arms but I can't see if the others are extra arms or if they're the remains of the things legs. But yeah, like a certain someone said before, gauss-rifles or plasma-cutters and make sure to have an emergency program override to shut the thing down forcible. But, WICKET image o-o, reminds me of Virus, yes that movie was gory, but awesome!
Right now I think I see 3 weak spots: Red camera eye, middle hydraulic looking thing holding it together, and possibly the tube thing on the thing's lower left arm.
Of course.... it's gonna be hard to find out if those actually are weak spots considering no one's got ammo anymore. Oh wait! There might be a few fuel canisters!

Badass looking in any case...

Neat character designs. These could make interesting procedurally-generated characters in a game; have a bunch of parts to be put together with some variance in scale and have a little physics to keep them from running through themselves. Sure, some of them would be a bit gimpy, but they'd be various and even the duds could be explained by plot.
Holy shit, look at the level of detail in those robots. I know you probably put in a lot of details into your furry smut as well, but it's so much easier to appreciate the effort you put into these pieces of art when they're not adult in nature, especially when the subject matter itself requires a great amount of attention to detail (such as this one).
I'm not talking about the number of parts on this machine, either; the light reflecting off of each of the dark metal pieces, the beams of light shooting out from the joints, the haphazard and clunky design that would make it seem less of a threat, the blood on the floor that proves the viewer wrong, the red cross laser that points out it's looking directly at you...it doesn't take much to realize why they (aka, you) call it "Relentless." And the fact that this entire piece was an improvised work...you deserve a damn good beer for this one.

Yeah I'm a pretty good mech designer (I actually don't believe in the 'if you don't see it, we don't have to explain how it works' approach some people take.-
But like I said
Again
This was just me making a shape out of black and using a low opacity brush to fill in random details for the hell of it.

At one point in the Marvel TF comics, Starscream gained godlike powers (till he OD'd on it) and was killing Transformers with just a touch. The aftermath was having Ratchet try and put some of the robots back together, but he was slowly losing it, and was imagining the corpses coming to life and blaming him for not fixing them. The scene was pretty twisted since you'd have these bodies with the mechanical equivalent of guts hanging out, faces half exposed- all sorts of messed up imagery
Next time you do something like this, I'd really love to see a 'before' and 'after' series. Namely, the image of all the black shapes you made, and then the raw result using the white brush. This is a great experiment turned horrendously right! But then, you're pretty notorious for those huh? :D
