Baby Yoshi is a very happy-go-lucky, little fella' who loves friends, fun, and hugs. Because of this, his mother couldn't help but make a story / scrapbook of her special boy's adventures. Here is but one of them.
I hope you enjoy this uplifting project. It just came to me yesterday and, well, I just had to see it through. :)

Indeed. Little Yoshi is a big fan of playing games. His favorites involve colored blocks with symbols. :)
This was actually spawned from three different things. They were...
1: Looking back at my gallery for the journal project
2: My business background itching to "re-invent" old material
3: A sudden need for something cute and cuddly.
I'm glad you liked it. ;)

Watermelon juice sounds yummy. :D
This reminds me of a children's book (actually, that's one of my next school projects!), it's neat to see you work drawing and writing together! It made for a neat little story about Baby Yoshi's neat day. :3
Anything is funner when you have a friend nearby! (:

Yup, yup, yup! I've been feeling very all-over-the-place lately and, well, this is yet another example of a fun idea I just couldn't help but to toy with. Would you believe that, right now, this submission has more views in total than all the pics I used to make it combined? :)
You get to make a children's book for class? Oh, how I envy you! In college, my Creative Writing class was as close as I got and, well, all I got to do was a collection of five poems, a 3rd person story, and a 1st person tale. My first person was, uh, for lack of a better word, lame. However, the 3rd person was "The Sliding Board" in its very first incarnation. Can you beieve, since then, I have modified it two more times? The irony is that, if I ever get published, this story doesn't even fall into place with the actual series itself! Kazootles!
Back on your project, though, what ideas do you have for it? Is there any restrictions / rules you have to follow? If I could so humbly request, I'd love to see your finished work when it is done. :)

Oh? That reminds me of how your journal mentioned that Crinkle Cuts was a really highly-viewed story among your submissions. (: Since this one's also baby-related, maybe you have an idea about what your FA pals are interested in reading more about? :B At least I could connect that much! 8D Hehe.
Oh! Creative Writing was way fun. :D I think we did about the same amount of work? Different poems, stories, scripts... I think your teacher would be happy to hear that you've gone back and edited work you've submitted for her class. (: My teacher said he hoped we all did something with our work instead of letting it sit and do nothing after class finished. The Sliding Board? Is that part of another series, if there's a series it doesn't fit into? :B
I'm doing a kid's book with some dark humor, mixed with a "how to" book, titled, "How To Do Make A Paper Airplane" I have to color all twenty pages before the weekend... but I'll have it available to download after! :3 You asked to see the right thing since I was planning on uploading it after. (: It's really nice of ya! Hehe, good times~

Gabby-Gabby-Gaboo! I remember you mentioning the "Paper Airplane" project either in your journal, or in a comment stream, awhile back. How exciting to hear how in-depth of a class project it is.
Dark humor you say? I couldn't even fathom what sort of whims could happen in the creation of a paper airplane. However, now that my mind's cogs are working on it, I actually am seeing some potential for a "silly oopsie" here-and-there.
"The Sliding Board" will stay within my "Tales of Silmaria" series. However, rather than EVER being an official release, I will keep it as sort of an "Episode Zero." Kind of like something to release to the fan-base, should I get one, as a free gift for helping me make it in some way as a creative writer. :)
*sigh* It does seem I am at my best here when I do baby-related material. I knew it was a part of me that I needed explored, but I had truly hoped I'd be more successful in other areas, too. Then again, as FA has helped to do, it does show that I am TRULY a juvenile writer / designer. Now, it's a matter of harnessing that talent in a way that works to earn me a niche worth marketing too. :) Yup, yup, yup!

Hehe, I guess we'll just have to see how it turns out. 8D It might not be too dark, but I don't think it'd be good for kids to read either, even if they're the "target audience".
Oh! I see. :D It's fun to have things like that! At least, it's a good way to write about something you're interested in writing about, without having to worry as much about it since it's not the super important main story. 8D Well, maybe I didn't say anything profound just then, but I understand the joy in it too! Woop woop!
I think you do just fine, baby stories or not. (: I didn't follow your work hoping for juvenile themes, though I knew from your art that was part of what ya did, I like seeing whatever work ya have to offer. :3 And it definitely doesn't mean your baby-based work is more worth noticing than your deeper stories, it's just what people you know with similar interests notice! Kind of like how some people say more mature or fetish related work gets attention here more than "regular" art?
Even if people are more likely to read these pieces over your other work, I don't think it's anything to feel bad about. :D Just like you mentioned you're glad you can relate with furries and other non-mainstream groups, it's neat that you can contribute something to this group too, and you can all relate to each other a bit more. (:
I dunno, I guess I'm just rambling and guessing, but even if that sort of situation might be a little frustrating, saddening, or whatever other minor feelings may come from it, it's not all bad. :3 Even that bit of publicity could bring an unknowing someone to see your work and find themselves drawn to it regardless of the matter? :3 Ehehe, okay I stop there. 8D

Actually, shortly after I wrote you back yesterday, I got a, as Bill & Ted would put it, "most excellent idea!"
The profound success of my Scrapbook series may actually be a boon for my next big move as a writer. This is because, amidst our recent discussion here, I thought about how I could turn "Tales of Silmaria" into a light version of itself. I already have mentally worked out the first endeavor. However, I'll need to "draw" the pics to suppliment the writing. It likely is going to take me a week, or so, to complete a beta. However, if I could ask your opinion on it when it's done, I'd be much in your debt. ;)
Quite honestly, despite FA's reputation, I can't begin to speak on how it has helped me grow as a creative force. It has given me freedom to experiment and discover what it is I am good at. Now, when I write a Query Letter, I know that, "I am a juvenile, fiction writer." Artists can go for years trying to figure out where they belong in the great cogs of creativity, but I now KNOW, as my heart told me, that I do belong in juvenile and that it is my gift to share with those who would so have it. Gabby-Gabby-Gaboo!
This hopefully isn't getting old, Oxnard, but I owe you so, so much for getting me to where I am right now. I was so worried all that has happened to me over these past months would ruin me both professionally and mentally on so many levels. However, through your insightful, charismatic, and deep input, I feel more at the top of my game than I ever did at even the best times at my last job! Gabby-Gabby-Gaboo! :)

I'm glad you found it a fun endeavor, Scooter. My mind has been a bit, how you say, "all over the place" and this series just seemed like something fun to do. After all, how can you go wrong with writing AND art? Figured it would be a win and, from what I can tell, it was. Yay!
