Bio (in actual text form)
Pommots are small hairless creatures. While they may resemble canines, they are more closely related to reptilians. Their skin is very sensitive, so mothers often give birth to their litters in soft and comforting environments. Within minutes of birth, the pups begin to attach nearby materials to their adhesive skin. If they fail to find protection, their body temperatures become too low and the babies will perish.
As materials adhere, their bodies fuse genetically, and their coats take on the form of the materials they gathered. parents do not pass their material genes to their offspring, but often return to similar locations of their birth. In this way, most parents have the same material-coating as their children.
