Looking out into the shimmering vastness that surrounded him Bruce gulped. He was a small Betelgeusian Baboon in sea of unknown. A second ago he was trying to stabilize and recalibrate the ship’s particle accelerator before it blew. The next thing he remembered watching the world fade to white.

It looked like he was in the core of a nebula, but he was sure he was breathing. At least he hoped he was. It certainly didn’t feel like he was suffocating.

He wasn’t sure if time was even passing, but he assured himself it probably was, “…if this is ‘the Other Side’ then Grandma should be here… with cookies…”

Some possible time later he looked around a bit and sighed, “…okay… maybe it’s not the Other Side… but wherever I am I really wish I still had my pants.” He said, his hands covering himself as he floated in the ether.
