I tried messing around with brush settings, shading and blur tools and I got this naked moose that seems to be sitting on a poorly rendered wall of sorts.
I'm waiting for some sort of clue that I'm finally doing something right for a change, but I don't think this is it.

Your art is really cute, i like it!
And as a bit of friendly advice, you have the right idea with the shading! Its shades in all the right places!
He could probably use a little more shadying tho! To emphasize the curve of his belly and chest
And dont worry backgrounds are hard i am terrible at them >> i dont have the patience
It will also be useful to save it as a .png instead of jpg. Jpg cam make a really smooth drawing all blured and pixelated .o.

No problem~ I am eager to see how you progress
Oof um, I'm not sure how to explain it ummm. Take his belly of example. Think of.the moon and how its sometimes a crest well that is a good example of shading shapes .o. thats the best i can think of ahh... or maybe if you set a ball on the side walk, their is the shadow it casts on the ground and the shadow that curves along its dark side.
It alot of trial and error, but just looking at how shadows curve to fit an object it is cast on.
If a light source is to your left there would be a shadow cast on you right cheek from your nose, and this shadow while detail the shape of your face.
Hmm that is strange, sometimes format is lost in transit :I I use autodesk sketchbook(for mobile and pc) and a free online photo shop called pixlr editor. I have never heard of Krita

Ever been in art class when the teacher places a sphere in front of you and tells you to practice the shading? Think something like that. Moosey's belly is essentially a big ol' sphere, after all! Something like this might help you visualize it better: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.co.....f1f1b9aa93.jpg
And oi, get rid of those quotes around artist mister! :P
