Age: Looks 20, actually 18.
Gender: Male
Town: Morran Forest
Personality: Critical, overthinker, clever, courageous, disciplined, observant, mature (he's seen a lot of things in his short life), protective, stoic, very freewheeling and spirited (tries to hide his curiosity), goes where his heart tells him but is very open to experimentation.
Is there anything you feel very STRONGLY that your character NOT be drawn doing?: I can't really think of anything I wouldn't want him doing.

Weapon of Choice: Swords
Gear: Gloves (not shown, any gloves will do when he needs to thieve), overcoat, boots, sword handle and water pouch, tight knit under shirt that is very flexible. Riku tends to travel light and tight, his clothes fairly close to his body except for the long overcoat. The overcoat has a loose stomach area above his waist band (the band is stretchy for taking it on and off, same material as inside shirt) is very loose and where he tends to store stolen items.
Likes: Sitting out in the rain, hot springs, spicy and salty foods, the beach, forests, sparring, practicing his stealing, technology, older fashioned buildings, temples, treasure, food in general, comfortable clothes, soft and melodic (classical type) music.
Dislikes: Extremely sweet foods, dry places, bows and arrows, confusing subjects, deserted buildings, boring looking jewelry, too baggy clothes, rude people.
History: Riku grew up with his brother Eiji in the city of Laviti and they've been inseparable since their father (Seiji Hara) passed away from disease (at around 8) and their mother (Fumi Hara) abandoned them (happened soon after his death). He discovered his element at the usual age, between 10 and 12. Their mother had owned and managed a temple for the goddess that their race believes created them and introduced them to the world. After she disappeared, they started taking care of the temple themselves. People had always supported it, but as they grew older and people found out their mother had passed away, they stopped donating, so the twins had no means of income as children. This is when Riku started teachin himself to steal from human merchants in his city. He trained a lot for this, teaching and learning from other shapeshifters about stealth and sparring, as well as teaching himself how to control his elemental powers. He usually tends to not use it except for his sword. He uses the pure water, one he found from a natural spring in the forest, to create a sword on a completely empty metal sword handle. He received a sword from a friend as protection, but asked for the blade to be removed so that he could use the water as his blade. Using his skills recently, he tends to manage and steal scraps of money from people to buy food, or just steal the food itself, for his brother and himself to survive. They tend to keep in touch with a stray few shapeshifters in the city, but other than that they tend to spend a lot of alone time at the temple. Riku usually strays away when he gets bored or wants something to do and goes into the city or the forest while Eiji tends to spend a lot of his time cleaning up their temple to the goddess and planting flowers/caring for a garden in the forest nearby.
Additional Info:
-Riku is a bit of a klepto. He can usually control his urges to steal things, but if he feels it a necessity such as water, food, or something that could be useful to him in the future, he tends to break down and steal it quickly. He tends to not steal from people who he knows/trusts.
-He can try be a gentleman when he wants to be, usually when he doesn't know people.
-Pretty stoic, most things don't set him off and he usually has a neutral expression.
-He tends to experiment in everything a lot, from his robbery techniques to his sexual orientation (bisexual).
-Can have a bit of a hard time trusting people if he's just met them, but warms up to people quite quickly.
-Tends to be very smart and a very critical thinker.
-Sometimes he can be selfish, but he tries not to be favoring of himself in most situations.
-Impulsive in difficult situations.
-Right handed.
Forms note: He can control what parts of him transform, such as having just his tail or ears showing to back to normal, or his feet turning to paws etc, but only between those two forms (fox and human).
Finally done, so proud of this! Was very excited to finally draw the other brother, who I'll also be having in Hetherev on the side (it has no connection to my comic at all!) but I will enjoy having him in there and hopefully it will help me practice a ton of stuff.
