Oh man, that is gorgeous. They really are spectacular flowers. Just look at all the detail in one single petal that nature painstakingly paints before it blooms. Looks like you've got another baby blooming soon, too! :)

Heee. The irses are awesome.

The "clover" in the background is sorrel, which is another Oregon native plant. It's edible! Tastes sour, kind of like lemons but less fruity and more grassy.

I bet the clovers are fantastic in salads!!! Sounds like it would make a tasty addition. :) I love edible greens.
