Now many years out of his early twenties, Taylor takes a simple moment to look back at the past decade.
Parties, drinking, more drinking, and a dash of terrible people sum up the vast majority of it. But, there is always a silver lining, even amidst the sea of shit moments.
You see, in these years there was music.
A release of sorts, a passion shared with 3 other like-minded beings. A place you can go to get lost and to fade away from all the worries of the day. In those moments it was just you, and the music.
Sound check. Amps fired up, on standby just waiting to be called upon. Wireless pack plugged in, batteries fresh. IEMs fitted, sound is good. Its time.
A step out into the light. Just you, and your Fender Telecaster.
When you step out there on that stage, with the lights on you, it didn't matter how many were there to watch you. 10 felt like 100, and 100 like 10,000.
And it was the best time of my life.
