Ahh I'm so sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear about your loss hun. Old age? Or something unnatural?

Speaking from someone who's lost several four legged friends, I'll tell you the same thing
I've told my friends. If tears come? Don't stop them, time and tears are you best way
to make those memories no longer hurt but, let you look back on them with out feeling
as if the world will end. Your pet loved you, and wouldn't want you to crumble.

He was ill(Diabetes and Chronic renal failure), we have prolonged his life for two years (He lived merrily and well in these two years)
But in early January this year, it got worse, he could not walk and eat... And we had to make the euthanasia that he did not suffer...
He was thirteen and a half years

Take solace in that, he's in peace now. Still, as I said before don't fight those tears, they'll dry eventually
And you won't cry when you think of him, just remember the happy moments with him.

Glad he got to enjoy 13 years of sharing time at your side. Keep reminding yourself of all the good memories and times that you shared as you cope with your loss.
