A better piece of art involving my ancient Egypt-inspired country. Again, its mainly inspired by ancient Egyptian culture and beliefs. But I've thrown in a lot from modern Egypt, such as the black and white taxis, vans, large apartment buildings, etc.
There are many things I want to alter to fit this society more. I want to develop a unique architecture, that combines both modern and old world elements. And also looks organic, as if it evolved from the desert itself without outside influence. Its not going to be flashy. Just something practical, organic and stylish. Things like temples, graves and government buildings will be more imposing and decorative.
I'm going to change the vehicles as well, to make them fit the scenery better. This will be the more challenging part, as motorized vehicles didn't exist in ancient Egypt. So I'll have to figure out how they'd fit in to the cities, as well as how they'd be altered by this culture.
This is what I picture the men wearing, something to keep the scorching desert sun off their shoulders and back, but to also allow a lot of airflow. Businessman and important people would wear something more formal and ornate, probably along with jewelry. Instead of pants they'd wear a sort of sarong https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarong which would just wrap around the waist.
I'm considering adding a macro element as well. Maybe this society is ruled by a group of semi-benevolent macros who are worshiped as gods. Or maybe they're treated as the pharaohs were, an incarnation of the gods on earth. More sort of a representative of the gods, but still divine.

The attention to detail here is just stunning! There was a game I played quite a bit called 'Pharoah', developed by Impressions Games and released in 1999, that had a lot of unique styles for ancient Egyptian buildings, and so you may be able to get some architectural inspiration from there. ^__^
Nice concept, I like those jackals, and how you mixed an ancient Egyptian temple with a tightly packed modern city. It even reminds me a bit of Kowloon City, much less crammed of course, but the cluttered atmosphere apparently without much city planning carries a resemblance.
What I think got messed up is the arms of the character in the front: I can't conceive a posture for him which would make him appear like this, his right upper arm is notably longer than the left. The throat also feels a bit off (even compared to that of the jackal on the right). I like those ears, though, very characteristic.
