A Taste of Felix 1
Felix Gamble studied Madam Mira with great suspicion. Her head was turned slightly to the left. It hadn't been the last time he saw her. The old woman's jerky movements and muffled speech gave him the chills. The dire warnings she'd spit at anyone with a coin to spare didn't help either.
Circling her, his suspicions were confirmed. The mechanical fortune teller was once again connected to power. He gave her casing a sharp rap, and the light bulb over her head flickered on. Despite being ancient, her smirking lips were as red as ever.
"What are you up to, Madame?" Felix mumbled. "Why shouldn't I just ship you back to the junkyard where I found you?"
Felix eased a finger underneath a panel, and found her weakness; the one button that would coax advice from her for free. Her head snapped to default position, lips flapping, creepy fingers clawing at a crystal ball.
"Someone new enters your life," she blared. "With him, your wingspan grows, but as Icarus soared, you too may plunge to certain doom. Be wary!"
As usual, the seer was full of bull. But then again... when had a little caution hurt anyone? In general, caution was a good thing, Felix reckoned. Maybe he didn't have to climb the ceiling rigs today. That would reduce the risk of certain doom quite a lot. There was plenty of other stuff to do. He pulled the fortune teller's plug, and she fell into slumber. Yep. The ceiling rigs could wait. Maybe tomorrow Madame would have fairer prospects for the future.

Hmm, I wasn't expecting this. Not a terrible choice since you don't see that type of anthro in a visual novel. At least none that I've played at least. Anyway now I'm interested in seeing what type of anthro the next character will be. My personal hope is maybe it'll be a fox, or maybe a raccoon since those are also types of anthros that you don't normally see in visual novels that often.
