2 of the eagles we have in rehab at MRCC. Kudos to whoever can tell the juvenile bald eagle from the golden eagle. Sorry about the glare, couldn't really move my position without them flying (or at least without one of them flying).

Yep that one was the juvenile Baldie. I think that they were both released since I posted this picture. The best way i have found to tell them apart (especially the first or second year baldies) is that the bill appears 'heavier' (wish i could explain that better). After the second year it's pretty easy, because their feathers appear to be more mottled, and after 4 years The Baldies definitely have more white in their head and tail feathers. after 5 years they have their adult plumage.
