Rain's Armor is Molded Ceramic, right?
I know it would be lighter and less conducive to cold and hot temperatures than Iron or Steel Armor.
But doesn't that mean less durability?

correctly treated ceramic can be very strong, or this could be some alloy, only she knows

The problem is that ceramic has a rigid molecular structure that will crack and shatter.
Metal, on the other hand, has a flexible molecular structure that will only dent and deform.
Hence its practical durability and obvious choice as a material for armor.
