One of my favorite prehistoric critters, because it looks so very fake - like those old dinosaur movies where they'd stick rubber horns and a fin on an iguana and call it a tyrannosaurus. Basically, it's a gopher with horns! Not only is it the only horned rodent, it's the smallest horned animal and the only fossorial (digging) horned mammal. Pretty cool.


I'm considering uploading this to Wikipedia. My photo's from the exact same angle as the one there (the only really good one considering where it's located in the case), but mine's sharper, the highlights aren't as blown out, and there aren't any glass reflections.
